Söderåsen National Park is one of southern Sweden’s best destinations for hiking, forest walks and scenic viewpoints. Deep valleys, beech forests, streams and dramatic slopes make every visit feel different.
Start at Skäralid
Skäralid is the park’s main entrance and a good place to begin. Visit Naturum Söderåsen for maps, information about the landscape and advice on suitable walking routes.
Walk to Kopparhatten
Kopparhatten is the highest point in the national park and one of its most popular viewpoints. The trail begins at Skäralid and climbs through the forest before opening to wide views over Skäralid Valley.
Visit Odensjön
For a quieter experience, start from Röstånga and walk through Nackarpsdalen to Odensjön. The small lake is surrounded by steep wooded slopes and works well for a shorter excursion.
Choose an easy forest walk
The walk around Skärdammen is a simple introduction to the park. It suits visitors who prefer an easier route and gives you a close look at the forest and valley landscape.
Bring a picnic
Several routes offer places to stop for lunch or coffee. Pack water, snacks and shoes with good grip. Trails often include stones, roots, slopes and muddy sections after rain.
Visit with children
Combine a short walk around Skärdammen with Naturum Söderåsen. Older children might enjoy the climb towards Kopparhatten, while Odensjön is a good choice for a calmer family outing.
Bring your dog
Dogs are welcome in the national park but must remain on a leash. Bring water and keep your dog close around wildlife and other visitors.
